# Design Objectives

$qONE is the fixed-supply qONE Security Protocol token at the heart of the protocol's long-term alignment strategy. $qONE is a quantum-resistant token and thus serves as a hedge against quantum attacks.

Furthermore, it is designed to be a payment method to enable quantum-protection via qVAULT quantum-safe vault (via QFA) as well as for the dual-signature quantum-resistant transactions. With the Q-Day approaching, the demand of $qONE is projected to increase with the growing demand for solutions to protect crypto assets.
